Position Overview:

The Automotive Service Specialist is responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair tasks as directed by management, adhering to all established protocols and standards. This role includes duties such as tire rotation, conducting comprehensive inspections, and changing essential automotive fluids. The technician will evaluate oil levels, tire pressure and condition, filters, windshield washer fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission and differential fluids, and engine coolant. Our commitment is to provide exceptional service while ensuring the utmost customer satisfaction.

Ideal Candidate: The successful applicant will possess a high school diploma or GED, along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Additional automotive training or experience in vehicle repair is advantageous. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential, as well as strong physical dexterity and stamina. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced team environment, exhibit a positive demeanor, maintain a professional appearance, and demonstrate excellent communication skills to deliver outstanding customer service. Certification as a state inspector is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely execution of oil and filter changes to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Inspect and replenish all fluids and maintenance-related components as necessary.
  • Conduct routine service inspections and perform standard maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness during service and repair operations.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed in compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Adhere to all shop policies, procedures, safety, and environmental guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining shop appearance and safety standards while ensuring operational efficiency through tasks such as inventory management.
  • Participate in all staff meetings, training sessions, and educational opportunities as required.
  • Perform system diagnostics and comprehensive automotive troubleshooting and testing.
  • Keep the shop area organized and tidy.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding service status and estimated completion times to keep customers informed.
  • Continuously update technical knowledge and skills through formal training to stay current with evolving automotive technology.
  • Exhibit behaviors aligned with the Company's Values in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  • One year of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive servicing or repair is highly desirable.
  • Possession of an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Able to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for professional interactions with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Safety and customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Physical capability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as necessary.
