MRI Technologist-Mount Sinai Morningside- Friday 8a-4p, Saturday

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Mount Sinai Morningside. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating specialized MRI imaging equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images, as directed by physicians. You will perform MRI studies of anatomical areas as ordered/directed, according to established standards and procedures.
Responsibilities- Operate MRI imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Position patients and associated coils to obtain optimum study
- Provide patient education relevant to specific imaging procedures
- Review patient safety questionnaires prior to introducing patients into the MRI scan room
- Ensure all MRI images are appropriately labeled and transmitted to PACS in a timely fashion
- Evaluate images for technical acceptability and ensure images are transmitted to PACS in a timely fashion
- Perform related clerical duties in the absence of support personnel
- Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology
- Strong background in cross-sectional anatomy, physical sciences, and M.R. physics
- 2 years experience in MRI (preferred)
- NY State License in Diagnostic Radiology
