About the Role

As a Director of Health Data and Analytics, you will play a critical role in leading the evolution of our products and technologies that provide access to convenient and effective direct-to-patient healthcare. You will lead a team of engineers building our Health Data platform, which plays a critical role in our strategy by collecting, storing, and providing secure access to patient health data, as well as building services to support clinical decisions such as clinical alerting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-performing engineering team to build scalable services critical to our platform.
  • Ensure that health data APIs are easily discoverable and usable by other engineering teams.
  • Develop team members and support their career growth through regular feedback and coaching.
  • Keep the team motivated, engaged, and effectively collaborating with the broader organization.
  • Contribute to the development and health of the larger engineering organization, including culture, innovation, and recruiting.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of building high-performing, healthy, and sustainable teams that have tackled complex technical and organizational challenges.
  • Strong ability to build partnerships across the organization.
  • Passion for coaching and developing a diverse team of engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced environments, with a drive to seek clarity for yourself and your team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in a technical leadership role delivering impactful systems.
  • Experience with health data, Bioinformatics, and/or the Healthcare industry.
  • Experience building interfaces and APIs for teams to publish and query time-series data.
  • Familiarity with building and maintaining AI/ML models, LLM, and NLP systems strongly desired.
  • Work experience with start-ups is strongly desired.
