Job Opportunity

Lyon College is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Athletic Trainer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional athletic training functions for intercollegiate athletic teams and club sport programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide education and training to prevent athletic injuries
  • Recognize, evaluate, and provide immediate care of athletic injuries
  • Assist in the rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletes after injuries occur
  • Serve as a liaison between physicians, coaches, athletes, and parents
  • Ensure athletes participate only when physically able

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required with a master's preferred in a field related to this position
  • NATABOC certification required
  • Ability to maintain the standards established by the National Athletic Trainers Association's (NATA) role delineation study
  • Member in good standing with the NATA, BOC, local NATA district, and state's athletic trainer's association
  • Experience with wrestling preferred
