We are seeking a highly experienced Regional Financial Controller for our Property Management division, located in Dallas, TX.

The Corporate Controller will be pivotal in establishing and executing all facets of accounting, reporting, systems configuration, and overall financial management processes, ensuring seamless integration with all related departments and functions within Lincoln Property Company.

We are in search of a senior-level accounting expert with a background in commercial property management and a proven history of fulfilling essential responsibilities in accounting, financial oversight, and related functions within a sophisticated property management framework.

Our streamlined processes are designed to deliver comprehensive support to an integrated management platform, leveraging extensive experience and advanced technology to provide exceptional service and performance to investors, team members, and tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Property Accounting team by planning, developing, guiding, and training the team to achieve success while ensuring operational efficiency to meet business needs promptly.
  • Identify and analyze opportunities for enhancing the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of team outputs, implementing solutions to achieve optimal results.
  • Collaborate with property management and other stakeholders to ensure the property accounting team delivers high-quality, responsive service.
  • Provide expert insights on property accounting and serve as the primary resource for team members and owner clients.
  • Review and approve financial accounting documentation to ensure effective property accounting, including necessary follow-ups and resolutions for superior service and compliance with accounting principles and client policies.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of GAAP financial reporting to support parent company requirements.
  • Effectively manage the Operating Budget by continuously monitoring expenditures, reviewing variances, and addressing budgetary concerns.
  • Work closely with the management team to track financial spending and revenue related to corporate initiatives and client services.
  • Analyze new client business scenarios to project revenue and associated costs.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Tax Compliance, and Treasury departments.
  • Assist in the establishment of annual operating budgets, monitoring and approving reimbursable costs and chargebacks to clients.
  • Ensure all accounting practices adhere to corporate policies and governance, overseeing financial relationships with vendors and clients, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely payment processing.
  • Engage in strategic planning with executive leadership to develop financial strategies that align with the company's growth and expansion objectives.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required; a Master's degree or CPA designation is preferred.
  • Experience in commercial office property accounting is essential, with a strong understanding of complex tenant lease structures and CAM/OPEX calculations.
  • Proficiency in Oracle, MRI, and Yardi software is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in property accounting and financial management, with a proven ability to lead teams effectively.

This position is 100% in-office, requiring presence during standard business hours. Remote work or telecommuting is not an option.
