Staff Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team at Resource Energy Equipment. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for handling accounts payable and receivable functions, communicating with vendors, and working with sales coordinators to collect and apply receivables.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and external contacts to resolve issues and provide instructions
  • Collaborate with sales coordinators to collect and apply receivables, ensuring accurate and timely processing
  • Assist with month-end closing duties as needed, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2 years relevant experience required, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
