Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in caring for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support, while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Care for patients with diagnoses such as CAD, Aneurysm, Tamponade, Aortic Stenosis, Mitral Regurgitation, Heart Failure, LVAD, ECMO, CABG, Aorta/Mitral/Tricuspid replacement/repair, TAVR, TEVAR
- Perform special procedures including Chest Tube Set-up/Care, RSI - Rapid Sequence Intubation, Drugs Blood/Blood Products Administration, Cardioversion / Defibrillation, Cooling / Warming Blanket, ECMO, LVAD/Impella, Sheath Removal, Drains, Wound Vac
- Work closely with cardiothoracic surgeons and cardiologists to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions and comprehensive care
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiovascular care, preferably in scrub roles
- Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull equipment weighing up to 100 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs)
- BCLS certification
