Position Overview:

Pieper Veterinary is in search of dedicated individuals who take pride in their work at our Pieper Memorial facility.

Collaborative Work Environment:

Our VECCS Level 1 Certified hospital is equipped with specialists in various fields including Emergency & Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Oncology, Surgery, and Exotics, supported by a full team of experienced Emergency and Primary Care Veterinarians.

With the assistance of their technicians, assistants, and liaisons, our hospital teams collaborate closely to provide top-notch care.

Position Details:

This is a full-time role with flexible shifts, requiring 4 ten-hour shifts per week. Some weekends and holidays will be necessary. Availability is open for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with additional pay for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician.
  • An Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in anesthesia and monitoring.
  • Experience in phlebotomy.
  • Familiarity with scheduling patients, receiving, treating, ordering medical supplies, and requesting laboratory tests.
  • Knowledge of the use, care, and storage of veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment.
  • Understanding of sterilization techniques for various instruments and materials.
  • Familiarity with instruments, materials, and standardized procedures for a variety of treatments, including client needs assessment and quality standards for services.
  • Strong command of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and composition rules.
