Description
We are seeking a Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist, specializing in the Healthcare Systems and Services sector.

Role Overview:

An Advanced Therapies (AT) Interventional Radiology Technologist may provide assistance and support to Cardiologists, Cardiovascular Surgeons, Radiologists, Interventional Neurosurgeons, and Vascular Surgeons. The Technologist is expected to engage and communicate professionally with physicians, team members, patients, and their families. This role requires the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with Nursing and Ancillary staff to ensure exceptional patient care. Critical thinking skills, leadership qualities, and a commitment to ongoing education and mentorship are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical, technical, and administrative duties on a daily basis.
  • Confirm patient identification, medical history, diagnosis, and procedures for both diagnostic and interventional cases.
  • Assist with pre and post procedural patient care.
  • Prepare for procedures, manage supplies, and maintain a sterile environment in accordance with care standards.
  • Support sterile procedures as per physician preferences and established policies.
  • Operate Interventional Angiography Systems in designated suites.
  • Set up and manage additional procedural equipment.
  • Ensure quality control and safe operation of the Angiography System, adhering to ALARA principles and notifying the physician of intra-procedural dose thresholds and equipment issues.
  • Ensure all team members are aware of and comply with radiation safety principles, including time, distance, and proper use of protective gear.
  • Actively engage in room turnover, patient transfers, terminal cleaning, stocking, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in an interventional or invasive clinical environment.
  • Clinical proficiency in Invasive Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Hybrid, Interventional Radiology, Neuro Interventional, and/or Vascular Surgery Hybrid.
  • Experience operating Angiography Equipment, preferably with Siemens ARTIS C-arms.
  • Strong understanding of Advanced Imaging techniques, including acquisition, post-processing, reconstruction, and 3D DynaCT features.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with preference for Cardiac Interventional (CI) or Vascular Interventional (VI).
  • Valid State license (or eligibility to apply).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
