We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Allegheny Health Network. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in optimizing patient care by promoting rational, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care.
Key Responsibilities- Process prescriptions and conduct prospective drug reviews to identify potential and actual drug-related problems.
- Provide accurate and timely drug information to healthcare professionals, patients, and the public.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage drug therapy, protocols, and guidelines.
- Assist in department management, including supervising and directing the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and other support personnel.
- Contribute to the effective operation of the department through various activities, including computer functions, refill medications, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm D).
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of PA at hire or sit for boards and obtain licensure within 120 days.
- Hospital experience preferred.
