Maintenance Planner

As a Maintenance Planner at Commercial Metals Company, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating corrective and preventive maintenance activities with maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
• Plans, schedules, and coordinates corrective and preventive maintenance activities
• Orders parts for planned jobs and equipment
• Ensures tools and equipment are available for assigned tasks
• Develops structure within CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
• Creates procedural manuals to explain how to complete certain tasks
• Adjusts schedules to account for emergency work
Requirements
• Mechanical and/or electrical background required
• CMMS experience - SAP a plus
• Able to estimate labor hours, materials, and visualize the job to be performed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate up, down, and across the business
• Strong computer skills
• Able to read blueprints
