About the Job:

\

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide client evaluations, develop and implement occupational therapy services, and document progress according to individual plans of care.

\

Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions as per physician orders\
  • Conduct reevaluations and collaborate with the healthcare team to modify treatment plans\
  • Assess patient needs and develop personalized care plans\
  • Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy programs\
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and evaluate patient goals\
  • Observe and report patient progress to physicians and team members\
  • Refer individuals to other disciplines as necessary and with physician approval\
  • Teach new skills or retrain clients in daily activities impacted by illness or injury\
  • Establish equipment needs for independent living and instruct on adaptive equipment use\
  • Train individuals and families on prosthetic and orthotic devices\
  • Perform work capacity evaluations and refer individuals to vocational training as needed\
  • Document progress accurately and timely according to individual plans of care\
  • Participate in care conferences and meetings to coordinate home health services (if applicable)\
  • Prepare clinical summaries based on goal progress and participate in peer consultation\
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants according to company policies and state regulations\
  • Participate in discharge planning when applicable\
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding professional standards and practice\
  • Fabricate splints and instruct on use, application, and benefits\
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary\\/ul":[/p>\

Requirements:

  • \
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice\
  • Graduate of an accredited school or program of Occupational Therapy\
  • One year of prior professional Occupational Therapy experience preferred\
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice\
  • Participation in Amergis' Competency program when applicable\
  • Current CPR certification if applicable\
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable\
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)\
  • Meet all federal, state, and local requirements\
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site\
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements\
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in the English language\
  • Computer proficiency required\\/ul":[/p>\
