Maintenance Operations Supervisor

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
Supervise maintenance activities across multiple shifts to ensure the seamless operation of production maintenance areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Exemplify the desired behaviors in terms of initiative, adherence to regulations, ethical standards (honor, integrity, and courage), and work ethic to foster teamwork and mutual respect among staff.
2. Cultivate team spirit, pride, and camaraderie within the group.
3. Advocate for safety, environmental stewardship, and ongoing quality enhancement in line with corporate policies.
4. Adhere to all guidelines and procedures outlined in the Company Handbook.
5. Employ performance-based management strategies to elevate the standard of performance and development of team members.
6. Conduct interviews and provide hiring recommendations to management.
7. Ensure comprehensive training for all team members in their respective roles, including health and safety protocols and quality control procedures, to maintain a versatile, multi-skilled workforce.
8. Allocate resources effectively to achieve daily production targets and ensure timely delivery.
9. Champion ISO standards, Lean methodologies, and Six Sigma principles, demonstrating knowledge and commitment to these processes. Maintain and support 5S initiatives.
10. Perform process and safety audits aimed at eliminating unsafe work practices and conditions. Lead the establishment of a safety-oriented culture. Sustain effective housekeeping and 5S practices in the area of responsibility.
11. Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to uphold project workflow and ensure that preventative and predictive maintenance work orders and inspections are executed as planned.
12. Observe employee work activities, troubleshoot and diagnose unusual issues, and implement necessary corrective measures.
13. Coordinate project work activities with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain project workflow and meet deadlines.
14. Monitor and manage supplies, tools, and parts inventory, placing orders as necessary.
15. Document changes to prints/procedures and create and/or update work instructions as required.
16. Keep the Project & Maintenance Manager informed of any unusual issues or delays.
17. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or as necessary.
