Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills to join our PCU team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients who require intermediate-level monitoring and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: You will provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and implementing prescribed treatment plans in accordance with physician orders.
- Assessment and Monitoring: You will conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions and continuously monitor their progress, promptly identifying any changes or deterioration.
- Documentation: You will maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including nursing assessments, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with legal and hospital regulations.
- Collaboration: You will collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust patient care plans, making evidence-based decisions to optimize patient outcomes.
- Education: You will educate patients and their families on the plan of care, medications, and any necessary lifestyle modifications. You will offer emotional support and answer questions to alleviate concerns.
- Equipment Operation: You will operate and maintain specialized equipment used in the PCU, such as cardiac monitors, ventilators, and infusion pumps, ensuring patient safety and accuracy.
- Emergency Response: You will respond promptly to changes in patient condition, initiate emergency protocols when necessary, and provide life-saving interventions as required.
- Quality Assurance: You will adhere to hospital policies, quality standards, and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and the highest level of care.
- Professional Development: You will stay current with the latest advancements in nursing practice, attending continuing education programs and training sessions as required.
- Communication: You will maintain effective communication with the healthcare team, patients, and their families, ensuring a collaborative and compassionate care environment.
Qualifications:
- You must have a valid RN license in the state of practice and current BLS certification.
- ACLS certification is highly desirable.
- You should have strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- You should possess excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- You should be able to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- You should have a commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice.

Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
