Reports To: Manager - Freight Audit & Payment

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Work Schedule:

This role is a full-time position operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour break. Flexibility is available based on operational needs.

Role Overview:

As a Freight Payment Auditor within our Managed Services division, you will be tasked with the efficient processing and auditing of carrier invoices in alignment with contractual agreements.

Your Impact:
  • Input and manage carrier freight bills.
  • Conduct thorough audits of carrier freight bills.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries.
  • Comprehend LTL carrier pricing structures, tariffs, accessorial charges, and reasons for invoice audit failures.
  • Understand TL carrier pricing and audit failure reasons.
  • Analyze data to oversee carrier payables effectively.
  • Perform various clerical tasks, including customer service interactions and operating office equipment.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure timely payments to carriers.
  • Identify and rectify reasons for invoice audit failures.
  • Manage invoice workflows to guarantee timely processing and client transmission.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to interpret freight payment procedures and carrier pricing agreements.
  • Strong presentation skills for addressing inquiries from vendors and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of the LTL and Truckload transportation sectors.
  • Familiarity with carrier pricing and invoice specifics.
  • Capability to handle diverse customer requirements for invoice auditing.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
  • Effective time management and task prioritization skills, with a collaborative team approach.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Teams, and TMS systems.
  • Experience with Paylocity and Harvest.
