Job Title: Japanese Language Instructor

Job Summary:

SOSi is seeking a highly skilled Japanese Language Instructor to join our team. As a Japanese Language Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering proficiency-based foreign language instruction to students ranging from level 0 to 3 on the Interagency Language Roundtable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans for beginners, intermediate, and advanced classes.
  • Provide students with constructive feedback and consult with customers on organization needs.
  • Assess student proficiency and develop instructional curricula.
  • Integrate current technology and cultural understanding into instruction.

Requirements:

  • Active in scope TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in foreign language instruction.
  • Native or near-native competency in the Japanese language.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in English, Foreign Language, or Education.
  • Overseas experience in the target language.
  • Subject matter expertise in International Relations, Counterterrorism, Economics, Legal/Law, Military, Narcotics, Science & Technology, Literature, and Cross-cultural studies.

Work Environment:

  • Travel OCONUS on a TDY basis is a requirement for some languages under this program.
  • Candidates must be able to support the program 24/7 when on travel.
