Community Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Counselor to join our team at JEVS Human Services. This exciting opportunity will allow you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities, empowering them to live, work, and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
- Contribute to the development of personalized plans to support individuals in achieving their goals and aspirations.
- Teach and coach individuals in independent living skills, promoting their growth and independence.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to support social skills development and community engagement.
- Assist individuals in establishing volunteer opportunities or employment, aligning with their interests and abilities.
- 1+ year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Competitive hourly rate of $16.
