NDT Inspector

This position is responsible for performing various inspection requirements within the NDT department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of non-destructive testing principles and be able to interpret specifications, charts, and manuals.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date acceptance and rejection records and/or certifications systems as required by the applicable specifications.
• Identify defective conditions and test failures and prepare all appropriate documentation and/or calibration history.

Work within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customer's requirements, and military standards and/or calibrations procedures.

Observe and perform audits of a moderate scope or complexity on assembly and test, machining, and other functions for compliance to procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years related inspection experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturer's specifications, and internal drawings and procedures.
• Previous experience working in an NDT department or within an NDT function.
• Possess working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
• Knowledge of applicable military standards may be required.
• Personal hand tools may be required.
• May be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
