Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our supervisor to ensure that all fairs are delivered and picked up on time and in good condition.
  • Load and unload trucks with or without assistance of mechanical devices, ensuring that all products are handled with care.
  • Effectively communicate with our supervisor and routing team to ensure that any issues or problems are addressed promptly.
  • Deliver and pick up product from schools, as scheduled, in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Secure and transport products to ensure that they arrive at their destination in good condition.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of motor vehicles to ensure that they are in good working condition.
  • Complete and maintain accurate and legible records, including DOT Logs, trip sheets, fuel tickets, and other paperwork as required.
  • Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including DOT and OSHA guidelines.
  • Call our regional or branch office immediately in the event of an accident, damage to person or property, or any other issue that requires attention.
  • Assist with warehouse tasks as required by our supervisor.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, including well-groomed hair, clean uniform, and hygienic habits.
  • Attend monthly driver meetings and complete all required training materials.
  • Complete annual Certificate of Violation Process timely, accurately, and honestly.
  • Utilize proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects, climbing ladders, and pushing/pulling display cases.
  • Maintain trucks and work areas to company standards, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Travel to various locations, including city, suburbs, and rural areas, and may be required to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
  • Verifiable commercial driving experience of at least one year required.
  • Minimum of twenty-one years of age.
  • Possess valid Class A CDL license with air brake endorsement.
  • Must pass a drug screen, alcohol screen, Motor Vehicle Record review, criminal background review, and DOT physical examination.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and push, pull, lift, and handle metal/plastic cases weighing more than 350lbs on a regular and repetitive basis.
  • Customer service orientated.
  • Ability to read road maps and follow directions.
  • Strong team player and ability to get along with co-workers.
  • Good verbal/written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read.
  • Ability to travel overnight 1-2 days per week.
