Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our Corps buildings, grounds, and vehicles. You will also be assisting with daily pick-ups and deliveries as needed.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining a clean and organized facility, including sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, cleaning windows, and emptying trash;
  • Utilizing community-service workers assigned to the Corps to assist with janitorial/program needs;
  • Setting up and following periodic-check system to service emergency lights, water heater, fire alarms, building alarms, fire-protection systems, kitchen mechanical equipment, and vehicles;
  • Identifying and proposing maintenance projects necessary for property upkeep;
  • Securing all outside doors and windows daily;
  • Raising and lowering both American and Salvation Army flags during weekdays;
  • Maintaining supply and equipment inventory; advising Corps Officers on necessary purchases;
  • Assisting with food pantry duties as directed by Corps Officers;
  • Picking up daily donations in accordance with established, approved store and Salvation Army policies;
