We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Project Manager to join our team at PCL Construction. As a key member of our solar team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of solar projects from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Provide contract administration, technical expertise, and support to medium-sized construction projects.
- Develop and implement project safety plans, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Ensure projects are constructed according to design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule.
- Understand client drivers and offer value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefits.
- Manage project performance, providing regular status reports on safety, cost forecasts, and schedules.
- Negotiate and issue subcontracts, major purchase orders, and progress payments, monitoring their progress and schedules.
- Understand, communicate, and enforce contract documents.
- Develop and coordinate overall project closeout.
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities on construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of progressive construction experience, with 3+ years in solar utility scale projects.
- Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture, applying health, safety, and environment principles and legislation.
- In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, including building materials, construction specifications, methods, and procedures, construction law, and building codes, and safety and quality management practices.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, including the ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
- Ability to identify and manage risks and opportunities on construction projects.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management, and scheduling software, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
