Position Summary
The Electrical Testing Specialist is a crucial contributor to the engineering division, responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of testing equipment for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA). This role is vital for ensuring the quality and integrity of production processes, guaranteeing that our products align with the highest standards expected by our clients.
Primary Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
  • Oversee and improve PCBA testing apparatus and systems used in manufacturing.
  • Independently enhance, modify, and maintain both software and hardware components within testing systems.
  • Assist the operations team by providing insights from a PCBA testing perspective.
  • Employ quality tools and metrics to ensure excellence in products and processes.
  • Carry out additional tasks as directed by management.
Work Scope
You will interact with production IT systems and develop a thorough understanding of current PCB testing methodologies while implementing innovative systems and improvements. Collaboration with the Global Technology team and other organizational functions will be essential for your success.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (BSEE).
  • Basic understanding of circuit analysis principles.
  • Experience with measurement and data acquisition tools and their limitations.
  • Familiarity with PCB testing techniques, including functional 'Bed-of-Nails' and Automated Optical Inspection.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for training and collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in test software, particularly National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand.
  • Knowledge of database management (SQL/Oracle).
  • Understanding of variable frequency AC drives and motor control systems.
  • Experience with Automation Systems (PLCs, etc.) and Control Panels.
  • Background in Power Electronics through work experience or education.

  • The ability to read and interpret technical schematics and documentation.
  • Strong report writing and procedural documentation capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills to convey information clearly to diverse audiences.
