Summary

The Port Operations Financial Analyst TEMP role is essential for overseeing various financial and operational functions associated with port activities. This includes tracking costs related to fuel and electricity, managing accounts payable, updating financial documentation, and ensuring audit compliance. This position is vital for enhancing operational efficiency and financial outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Management & Reporting
    • Oversee quarterly analysis of fuel and electricity expenditures, including rate assessments.
    • Manage accounts payable processes to ensure timely payments.
    • Update financial documentation and system codes for precision.
    • Conduct audits to address discrepancies and resolve issues.
    • Analyze revenue-sharing agreements and financial incentives.
    • Prepare financial reports and assist in budget formulation while ensuring adherence to regulations.
    • Maintain accurate financial records for month-end processes.
  • Process Improvement Contributions
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and recommend enhancements to processes.
    • Prepare and present financial reports.
    • Assist in budget planning and compliance with regulations.
    • Engage in vendor meetings and respond to administrative inquiries.
  • Operational Support
    • Coordinate special projects and provide insights for strategic financial planning.

Education & Experience

    • Experience in the Automotive Sector Preferred
  • 1 Year of Indirect Experience Required

  • Training in Financial Planning & Analysis Preferred
