Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team at Norman Regional Health System. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in a variety of settings, including emergency departments, hospitals, and out-of-hospital locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform emergency and stabilizing procedures using protocols as directed by the EMS Medical Director and independent judgment.
  • Respond to emergency and routine requests for transportation to and from medical facilities.
  • Assess patient and determine nature and acuity of illness/injury and administer appropriate medical treatment utilizing independent judgment and protocols or standing orders.
Requirements
  • Must have and maintain a current Oklahoma Paramedic License.
  • Minimum requirement is completion of the requirements for licensure (DOT curriculum paramedic program) recognized by the Oklahoma State Department of health in accordance with EMS regulations which allows individual to sit for the State and National Registry exams for licensure as an EMT.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age in order to be insured by NRH carrier.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications are required.
  • Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Professionals (PEPP) training is required within 9 months of hire.
