At Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, our mission is to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their full potential. We provide a range of programs and services, designed to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Job Summary

The Behavior Specialist (Crisis Support) will work directly with individuals who require crisis intervention and support. This may include providing de-escalation techniques, developing and implementing behavior support plans, and collaborating with other members of the treatment team.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to prevent and respond to students in crisis.

  • Working closely with other members of the treatment team to develop and implement individualized behavior support plans.

  • Supporting individuals with complex needs, including those with autism and/or severe behavioral concerns.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in education, psychology, human services or related field OR at least one year's experience working with individuals with autism and/or severe behavioral concerns.

  • At least one year's experience with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
