Job Title: Senior Support Worker

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at Kingsley House, a friendly Bideford Residential home supporting autistic adults.

About the Role

This is a 40 hour a week vacancy with a varied working pattern over a seven-day rota, including some weekends and bank holidays. The hourly rate is £14.20 per hour, increasing to £14.70 after passing the probationary period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals to achieve independence and personal goals
  • Transport and support individuals to integrate into the community
  • Develop individuals' life skills, vocational, educational, and creative skills
  • Provide exercise, leisure, and recreational opportunities
  • Transform lives and achieve results for autistic adults
  • Support the development and maintenance of excellent relations with people we support and their relatives and advocates
Requirements

You will have a working knowledge of care standards and related legislation, as well as good report writing skills. You should be able to demonstrate leadership and motivation skills to reach agreed outcomes and uphold the values of the organisation.

A relevant Level 3 qualification or willingness to work towards one within a given time period is required. Flexibility is essential.

To protect our autistic adults, all staff are required to have a criminal background check. Possession of an Enhanced DBS Check either on the Update Service or conducted within the last 12 months would be preferable but not essential.
