Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Co-Occurring Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide clinical social work/counseling services to consumers and families under the clinical supervision of a qualified supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Plans, organizes, and implements clinical social work/counseling services to consumers and families.
  • Plans for discharge and aftercare.
  • Maintains contact with referring agencies and related people, and with community resources used for referral.
  • Maintains treatment records.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the consumer population served.
  • Assesses and interprets data about the consumer's status to identify each consumer's needs and provide the appropriate care.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the stages of change, a wellness and recovery model, and placement criteria as outlined in the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) patient placement guide.
Requirements
  • MSW from an accredited school of social work or Master's Degree or doctorate in counseling with at least one year of experience required.
  • Actively working towards certification as a CADC or licensure as a LCADC based on requirements set forth by governing authority or, actively working towards another health professional license that includes work of an alcohol and drug counseling nature within its scope of practice.
  • License required, if applicable.
  • Computer literate and proficient in using the agency's Electronic Medical Records, NJSAMS, and applicable software required for the job.
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
