Job Summary:
The Executive Chef at Quail Springs Culinary is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and cleaning. This key leadership role requires a strong leader who can work closely with the restaurant manager to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and that all kitchen staff are properly trained and supervised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and cleaning, to ensure a high level of quality and efficiency.
- Develop and implement menu items and specials in collaboration with the restaurant manager.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and serviced to prevent downtime and ensure food safety.
- Develop and maintain a positive and productive work environment that encourages teamwork and open communication.
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a kitchen management role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines, with the ability to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
