What You Can Anticipate:

  • Located conveniently near labor and delivery and the operating room, CMG Southside Women's Center fosters a collaborative environment among physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurse midwives.
  • Primary call and labor/delivery coverage provided by experienced Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs).
  • Weekend call coverage twice a month and for vacation needs.
  • Modern, spacious clinic equipped with in-house ultrasound and laboratory services.
  • Remote consultations and bi-monthly on-site meetings with the University of Virginia (UVA) Maternal-Fetal Medicine Service.
  • Access to daVinci Surgical System and a Level II NICU with a neonatal transport team.
  • Generous vacation policy: 5.5 weeks.
  • Pediatric support available for births and circumcisions.
  • Collaborative opportunities with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) and local providers.

Mentorship Program

Effective mentorship is essential for fostering a cohesive team. Our mentorship program emphasizes a collegial approach, allowing the selected candidate to work closely with other physicians. Patient and procedure volumes will gradually increase as the candidate gains confidence. We believe that structured mentorship is vital for the retention and promotion of physicians, particularly during the transition from residency to full attending status.

Compensation and Benefits Overview

  • Base compensation range: $320k to $420k Total

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of medical degree and residency/fellowship training in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • MD/DO with certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board in the primary specialty. Must be board certified or board eligible.
