Position Title: Commercial HVAC Installation Mechanic

Required Experience: Minimum of 5 years in HVAC installation
Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Commercial HVAC Installation Mechanic is to install commercial-grade HVAC systems and associated ductwork. Key components include:
- Package units, both ground and rooftop
- Large commercial chillers (air and water-cooled) and cooling towers
- Split system equipment
- Central air handling units
- Exhaust fans (roof-mounted, wall-mounted, and suspended)
- Various air distribution systems
- Flexible, spiral, and single-wall duct systems
- Fire and smoke dampers
- Kitchen hoods and related ductwork
- Ceiling and wall grilles and diffusers
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete installation projects within the estimated cost parameters.
- Supervise and support field personnel on larger projects as necessary.
- Maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
Essential Duties:
- Possess a valid driver's license and meet physical requirements for the role.
- Thoroughly review job packages and coordinate with field personnel.
- Perform installation services for commercial HVAC systems.
- Adhere to the company's quality standards for workmanship.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions as required.
- Communicate daily with field personnel and project managers.
- Coordinate material orders and deliveries to optimize project efficiency.
- Complete all necessary documentation related to installation projects.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
- Obtain and maintain an EPA refrigerant certification as per company guidelines.
- Conduct equipment startups, ensuring proper wiring and refrigerant charging.
- Maintain tools and vehicles in excellent condition.
- Monitor job sites for safety compliance and report violations.
- Follow directives from the Installation Supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 80 lbs.
- Capable of loading and unloading materials for projects.
- Willingness to work at heights using ladders and aerial lifts.
- Familiarity with the safe operation of construction equipment.
- Adaptability to various environmental conditions, from outdoor settings to indoor facilities.
