Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Hotel Attendant to join our team at Growroseville. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel rooms and public areas.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain assigned guest rooms, including dusting, polishing, and sanitizing surfaces and fixtures.
- Restock linens, towels, and amenities as needed.
- Empty and clean waste baskets and remove all other trash from guest rooms.
- Inspect and replenish guest supplies, such as cups, writing supplies, and hotel collateral.
- Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, and other surfaces.
- Check under beds, chairs, and sofas for debris and remove if present.
- Empties and cleans ice buckets and trays.
- Empties and cleans coffeemakers and replenishes coffee cups, coffee pods, and condiments.
- Open all drawers/doors in check-out rooms and remove items left by guests.
- Dust inside and realign furniture to floor plan.
- Sorts trash and recycling, deposits in appropriate receptacles.
- Clean bathrooms, including removing dirty towels, soap build-up, and hair from mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain, and floor.
- Replenish bath towels and supplies.
- Clean closets and door tracks on check-out rooms, removing dust and debris.
- Ensure correct amount and placement of hangers and other amenities.
- Replace laundry bags and slips.
- Places extra blanket/pillow in closets.
- Vacuum throughout entire room and spray room with deodorizer.
- Keeps track of rooms cleaned in MOP.
- Reports any unusual or unsafe conditions in rooms or corridors and any missing hotel property.
- Turns in all lost and found items to Housekeeping Office.
- Special deep cleans areas as needed.
- Completes required training as requested by Wyndham Brand.
- Completes standard assigned rooms in required time.
- Responsible for clean, orderly, and well-stocked cart and linen closet.
- Responsible for keys found in rooms. Issued hotel keys must be turned in to Housekeeping Supervisor before leaving at end of the shift.
- Delivers items as requested by guests.
- Empties and cleans waste baskets and removes all other trash. Sorts trash and recycling, deposits in appropriate receptacles.
- Dust, polish, and cleans using correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
- Realign lobby furniture to floor plan.
- Replenishes towels and supplies in pool area, fitness center, and public restrooms.
- Turns in all lost and found items to Housekeeping Office.
- Special deep cleans of areas as needed.
- Completes assigned tasks in allotted time.
- Vacuum back offices, lobby, hallways, and stairs.
- Cleans public restrooms. Remove dirty towels, soap build-up, and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, and floor.
- Reports any unusual or unsafe conditions in rooms or corridors and any missing hotel property.
- Follows department and hotel policies, procedures, and service standards. Complies with safety and security procedures and participates in all recycling and energy initiatives.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to meet the physical demands of bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, standing, walking, squatting, lifting, and carrying for extended periods of time.
- Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
