Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team at Secure Transportation Company Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing, maintaining, and verifying all aspects of the credentialing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Credentialing Process Management
    • Collect, track, record, and monitor data required for credentialing and recredentialing.
    • Ensure accurate and timely completion of credentialing applications.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with Secure staff, partners, and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless credentialing process.
  • Credentialing Standards and Compliance
    • Review and verify incoming information submitted by new and existing employees/partners.
    • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, state, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Research and Verification
    • Conduct thorough research and primary source verification of application files.
    • Identify and resolve discrepancies and issues.
  • Provider Management
    • Process and complete provider credentialing and recredentialing needs.
    • Monitor files and follow up as necessary.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Set up and maintain provider information in Itineris and Share Drive.
    • Track licenses, training certificates, insurance, and CPR expirations.
  • Customer Service
    • Handle telephone calls and assist callers with their issues.
  • Knowledge and Compliance
    • Maintain knowledge of jurisdictional requirements and document credentialing changes.
    • Audit files to ensure up-to-date information.
  • Departmental Support
    • Participate in the development of and adherence to department rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    • Minimum one (1) year of experience in provider credentialing or in the healthcare industry.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
    • Strong research skills to gather pertinent information.
    • Database management skills including querying, reporting, and document generation.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the credentialing process.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work while managing multiple priorities.
    • Ability to work with general supervision.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, staff, and contacts outside the organization.
