Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Structural Engineer Project Manager to join our dynamic team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the analysis, design, and detailing of structural systems, with a strong background in project management and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Analysis: Develop and analyze structural designs for a variety of project types, including commercial, industrial, residential, and infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee structural engineering projects from inception through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Technical Documentation: Oversee the preparation of detailed drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct site visits to assess conditions, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Collaborations: Work closely with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural systems into overall project designs.
  • Compliance: Ensure all structural designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve structural engineering issues and challenges, providing innovative and practical solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest developments in structural engineering techniques, materials, and best practices to enhance project design and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience leading a variety of project types, including commercial, industrial, residential, and infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, including RAM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
