Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding management position within the corporate Environmental Services Department of NextEra Energy, Inc. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing environmental due diligence, policy support, and licensing and permitting for transmission greenfield development throughout the Central US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of environmental professionals in support of proposed facilities that span diverse technologies within the electric infrastructure industry.
  • Lead a team of Environmental Specialist/Project Managers in evaluating potential projects, identifying permitting requirements and risks, developing project schedules and budgets, and completing federal, state, and local environmental permitting for transmission projects.
  • Maintain current knowledge of pertinent national, state, and local environmental policies and regulations.
  • Interface with internal and external customers, regulators, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to resolve complex environmental matters.
  • Help ensure NextEra Energy compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, as well as company policies.
Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
