Job Summary:

DePaul University is seeking expressions of interest from qualified part-time faculty to teach courses in various disciplines across its 10 colleges and schools. The successful candidate will have expertise in studio arts and be able to teach courses in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, digital imaging, photography, media art, and graphic art.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in studio arts, including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, digital imaging, photography, media art, and graphic art.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the university's academic goals and objectives.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Participate in departmental and college-level meetings and committees.

Requirements:

  • MFA in Art or a related area.
  • 2 years of teaching experience, including instructor of record positions while in graduate school.
  • Experience teaching at a university or liberal arts college preferred.
  • List of three professional references.
  • 2 examples of syllabi and corresponding student evaluations.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work on a part-time basis, with a flexible schedule to accommodate quarterly course schedules. The position will involve teaching studio classes, which may require working in a studio environment.
