About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, including motors, pumps, and controls.
  • Troubleshoot and repair patient care equipment, such as beds, carts, and surgery equipment.
  • Assist with monitoring utility systems and perform routine maintenance functions.
  • Compute job costs and order parts, equipment, and supplies.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and perform equipment safety checks.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • No experience required for Maintenance Tech, typically 1-2 years of experience in HVAC for HVAC Tech.
  • Current driving record that meets Aurora fleet safety standards.
  • Knowledge and basic proficiency in electricity, plumbing, HVAC, steam fitting, soldering, carpentry, fabricating, and groundskeeping.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to problem solve.
Working Conditions

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, bend, twist, climb, and reach above shoulders at least 50% of the workday. May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards.
