Mental Health Therapist

At BayMark Health Services, we are seeking a qualified Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will work under the supervision of the Clinical Director and respective counselor supervisor. Your primary job function will be to conduct individual, group, and family therapies, coordinating various types of clinical mental health activities. You will perform various diagnostic and assessment procedures, based on qualifications and abilities. Your responsibilities will include conducting daily individual, group and/or family counseling sessions with clients, performing diagnostic and assessment procedures, coordinating clinical activities, and assisting in monitoring care to ensure compliance with agency policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily individual, group and/or family counseling sessions with clients.
  • Perform various diagnostic and assessment procedures, based on qualifications and abilities.
  • Coordinate various clinical activities.
  • Assist in monitoring care to ensure compliance with agency policies.
  • Attend regularly scheduled executive committee meetings.
  • Attend treatment staffing with prepared report that accurately represents clients' response to treatment.
  • Serve on various committees for purposes of Quality Assurance.
  • Conduct in-service training as assigned.
  • Maintain contact with family members/guardians, referral sources, and authorized outside sources, as necessary, in regards to various issues regarding client treatment activities/progress.
  • Maintain documentation relative to caseload and program function.
  • Meet, as directed, with representatives from outside agencies for marketing, survey/audit, or informational purposes.
  • Adequate knowledge and ability to navigate EHR system.
  • Assume additional duties as assigned by Clinical Director or Counseling Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Counseling, related field, or minimum degree and work experience in the field of Mental Health, in accordance with Ohio Counseling and Social Work Board and requirements adequate to perform job duties according to Ohio Law.
  • Required Licensure: LSW, LPC, or LCSW eligible.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience working with adolescents, teens, and adults with mental health diagnoses or related experience in the field.
  • Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.
