Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures, ensuring the sterile field is maintained.
  • Maintaining the operating suite, including the availability of necessary instruments and supplies.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing all surgical instruments according to established protocols.
  • Handling medications under the direct supervision of the surgeon or nurse.
  • Actively participating in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.

To be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of three years of experience as an operating room technician or certification in OR technology, and be able to function independently as an operating room scrub in all surgical specialties.
