Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will independently plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in patient care situations using standards of care, policy, and procedure. This role requires a high level of autonomy and decision-making, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients in the Emergency Department
- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in shared decision-making and quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and safety
- Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and research in emergency nursing
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting
- At least 1 year of experience in Emergency or Pediatric ICU acute care required
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
