Job Overview

The Floor Care Specialist is tasked with the upkeep, enhancement, and management of industrial floor maintenance equipment across designated areas. The core responsibilities and duties may differ based on client specifications and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities


• Upholds a welcoming, efficient, and positive service attitude towards clients, customers, and colleagues.

• Proactively addresses and meets customer expectations.

• Implements appropriate techniques for hard floor maintenance (including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and buffing) in accordance with established hard surface care principles.

• Applies correct methods for carpet and upholstery care (such as shampooing, damp cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming).

• Operates industrial floor care machinery as scheduled for the cleaning of expansive floor areas.

• Conducts maintenance and restorative procedures for various types of flooring.

• Manages the disposal of municipal solid waste (MSW), as well as infectious and pharmaceutical waste, ensuring proper treatment of infectious waste as MSW.

• Collects and disposes of trash, recyclables, soiled linens, and used supplies from the designated work area. Cleans and disinfects receptacles and carts as necessary.

• Adheres to all safety protocols, sanitation standards, and infection control procedures as mandated by relevant local agencies.

• Complies with appearance standards and consistently wears the required uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) while on duty.

Qualifications


• Previous experience in floor care or a related field, along with familiarity with floor care equipment, is preferred.

• Ability to read and write effectively to ensure clear communication and perform basic mathematical calculations.

This position may involve physical activities, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may also be required.
