Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' health, focusing on cardiovascular and metabolic functions.
  • Perform diagnostic assessments, including exercise stress tests, to monitor health status.
  • Create tailored exercise prescriptions aimed at improving fitness levels, strength, endurance, and flexibility.
  • Design specialized exercise programs that align with healthcare requirements and athletic aspirations.
  • Implement exercise prescriptions to enhance mobility, expedite injury recovery, and assist patients in managing disabilities.
  • Provide guidance on nutrition and ongoing fitness routines; may also involve teaching and research activities.
  • Deliver high-quality, individualized, and evidence-based care with proven methodologies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of exercise programs by tracking patient progress and making necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of exercise equipment through routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Stay updated with professional knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing literature, and engaging in professional networks; may also develop training programs.
  • Adhere to legal and certification standards by staying informed about relevant legislation and ensuring compliance.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in exercise science or physiology.
  • Required: BLS certification.
  • Preferred: Certification from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the American Society of Exercise Physiologists (ASEP).
  • Preferred: Master's degree.
