Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at The Manor at Blue Water Bay, a top-rated long-term care facility dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess residents' speech and swallowing abilities to develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide speech therapy treatments to residents, adhering to established care plans
  • Document treatment progress accurately and in a timely manner
  • Supervise rehabilitation aides and Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellows (SLP-CFYs)
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and educational sessions to enhance patient care
  • Offer in-service education to facility staff on speech therapy best practices
  • Assist with resident transportation and provide training to family and staff on speech therapy techniques
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current SLP license and ASHA certification
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a rehabilitation department
Work Environment
  • 8-hour shifts, including holidays and weekends
  • One designated work location
  • No remote work
