Position Summary:
We are currently looking for a part-time clinical instructor for our Practical Nursing program. The ideal candidate should be available for 8- or 12-hour shifts on designated weekdays. Previous teaching experience is not a prerequisite. Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and have plans to enroll in a master's program within a year of employment. We offer tuition assistance and forgiveness options for employees and their families, contingent on the program.
- Continuously enhance the quality of instruction by exploring and implementing innovative teaching methodologies.
- Demonstrate or be willing to develop skills for integrating online activities to enrich course content during interactive learning sessions.
- Assist in the review and revision of course syllabi and instructional guidelines.
- Timely submission of required program reports and documentation to the program director.
- Stay updated with new technologies and safety regulations relevant to the field.
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and skills assessments, while assisting with program data collection.
- Support the updating and maintenance of student files related to clinical requirements and educational credentials.
- Teach courses at various times and locations as needed by the program.
- Deliver both theoretical lectures and practical clinical rotations, which may occur during days, evenings, weekdays, or weekends.
- Engage in professional development activities to maintain continuing education hours for licensure renewal and stay informed about institutional updates.
- Participate in assigned committees based on availability, prioritizing teaching responsibilities.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the applicable state.
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Nursing degree from an accredited institution, with plans to pursue a Master of Nursing within five years.
- At least one year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, either in direct patient care or clinical instruction, within the last five years.
- Ability to meet faculty requirements established by the Board of Nursing.
- Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification are required.
