Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Advocate Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing care and assessment to patients, including planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Assess educational needs and provide teaching and counseling to patients and their families.
  • Integrate health promotion and preventive aspects of care.
  • Manage caseloads and prioritize patient care based on essential patient needs.
  • Communicate with physicians and provide status updates on a regular basis.
  • Maintain accurate clinical and patient records.
  • Provide telephone consultation and triage services.
  • Participate in community education programs and continuous quality improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Typically requires 2 years of experience in acute care nursing.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders throughout the workday. You must also be able to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.

This position may be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste, as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
