We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Altru Family Medicine Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients, assessing their physical, psychological, social, and educational needs, and developing individualized plans of care to meet those needs.
- Collaborate with our healthcare team to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively with patients and families, and ensure seamless transitions of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to the development of policies and procedures, and engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing.
- Assess and intervene in situations where patients are experiencing pain, and take appropriate action to manage pain effectively.
- Identify early warning signs of patient deterioration and respond promptly to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients.
- Document patient information accurately and concisely, and maintain confidentiality and integrity of patient records.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members, and provide education and support to patients and families as needed.
- Participate in discharge planning, develop individualized plans of care, and ensure that patients and families are prepared for discharge.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to other healthcare team members as needed, and ensure that tasks are completed safely and effectively.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Dakota or a Compact State Agreement.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of patient records, and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
This position requires occasional driving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
