As a Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the shift operations within the clinical setting to ensure delivery of high-quality care, exceptional customer experience, and optimal patient flow.
Responsibilities:- Manage staffing assignments for oncoming and off-going shifts, based on patient acuity and skill set of team members to ensure patient care needs are met.
- Coordinate patient flow by working directly with Administrative Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners to achieve expected outcomes.
- Monitor overall status of patients within area of responsibility and closely monitor status of seriously ill patients.
- Coordinate and/or participate in the delivery of patient care ensuring compliance with physician orders and established policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
- Support clinical collaboration focusing on expected patient length of stay.
- Perform direct patient care activities as required to meet operational needs.
- Interface with patients and families to enhance customer experience by conducting Nurse Leader rounds and investigating and responding to patient/family and physician complaints.
- Participate in and/or lead safety huddles.
- Embraces, communicates, and promotes change and problem solving.
- Assess equipment needs to ensure staff have the needed equipment for patient care, and they can appropriately utilize equipment.
- Supports and sustains all leader-driven initiatives.
- Assists with retention strategies for new team members that fosters a best place to work environment.
- Maintains a regulatory ready environment of care.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) preferred.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Certification in area of expertise; preferred.
- A minimum of one (1) year of PACU experience as a Registered Nurse required.
