A Day in the Life of a Cashier

As a Cashier at Great Western Dining, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience. Your responsibilities will include operating the cash register or Point of Sale Station (POS), handling cash and credit card transactions, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards customers.
  • Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash and credit card transactions while providing correct change to customers.
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and workstations.
  • Prepare the dining room for meal service by setting up tables and ensuring the area is clean and tidy.
  • Make tea and coffee for each meal service, ensuring a high standard of quality.
  • Clean and sanitize the dining room surfaces, equipment, and tables throughout all meal services.
Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and mobility are required.
  • The ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 20 pounds.
Estimated Salary: $32,000 - $42,000 per year
