Role Summary:
The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for conducting and interpreting tests on patient samples utilizing advanced laboratory methodologies. This role provides essential information to medical professionals to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities are carried out in alignment with our core values and Mercy Service Standards.
Required Qualifications:
For Medical Laboratory Technician:
- Education: Associate degree in a field recognized by a certification body for MLT
- Certification/Registration: MLT ASCP or equivalent
OR
For Medical Technologist I:
- Associate degree with MLT ASCP certification and a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
- Approved Military Training (if applicable)
For Medical Technologist II:
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Certifications: MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent required
