About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist in Oncology to join our team at Atrium Health Charlotte. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our oncology department.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) Oncology will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients with various types of cancer. This includes assessing patients' needs, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Additionally, the RN Oncology will provide education and support to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have throughout their treatment journey.

Responsibilities
  • Collect pertinent data and information relative to the healthcare consumer's health or situation.
  • Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
  • Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation.
  • Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
  • Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state where they work and reside. They should also have a graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing and current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to American Heart Association.

Atrium Health Charlotte offers a competitive salary range of $96,000 - 118,000 per year, depending on experience.
