Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant Technician to join our team at Kersting Veterinary Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our veterinarians and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including animal restraint, triage, and diagnostic imaging
  • Collect and analyze lab samples, and manage medical records
  • Administer medications and provide nursing care to patients
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other staff members
  • Participate in surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician
  • Experience with exotic animals is a plus
  • Compassionate, calm, and team-oriented individual with strong communication skills
  • Proficient in sample collection, medical histories, laboratory tests, and radiographs
  • Self-starter with a desire to continue advancing knowledge and skillset
